Last night the Victoria Advocate recognized athletes from the area for both their work in the classroom and their efforts in the community.
Several Bay City HS athletes were nominated, including two of our swimmers.
Glory "Glorine" Vargas
El Campo's Camryn Jansky was this year's winner.
Jordan "Rowdy" Wright
Gage Garner of El Campo took this year's boys swimming award.
The boy athlete of the year award went to another Ricebird swimmer, Conner Williams.
