Summer 2020 Training

If you are training with the Aquacats (CCAA/TAAF), registration form is here

Look for more info at the Aquacat Website and Aquacat Facebook Page

This was posted on the Facebook page on April 30:

Hello friends and swimmers! The Aquacats are optimistically hoping for a chance to swim this summer. Shooting for June 1, but of course we have no control of this. In this spirit of optimism, we are opening online registration today, but keep these bullet points in mind:

* Per Governor Abbot, current outdoor athletics recommendations are limited to four athletes. This will need to expand before we can practice.

*Of course, the city will need to open our pool and allow swimming.

* Registration fees will depend on length of season and number of swimmers. For now, sign ups don’t require fees.

* Expect a nontraditional season, bear with us as we follow crowd number guidelines, social distancing, etc.

* feel free to contact us with any questions.

If you are training with ShAC-Bay City (USAS), we are hoping to start training June 1.

Expect eleven (11) workouts weekly.  Workouts will be two (2) hours in length each.

This program is only for the most committed JH/HS swimmers in our area.

The USA Swimming meet schedule has been suspended.  If/when something changes, I will let y'all know.

Expect - at the very least - some sort of time trials to be hosted either at the ShAC facility in Houston or here in Bay City.

I'm actually getting pretty fired up about a three-month training cycle that won't be broken up by multiple 3-day meets and championship tapers!

I will spend the remainder of May planning our summer training.

Keep doing the OYO dry-land for the rest of the month.  I'll have a program ready for y'all to start in June.
