Pull-Up Progression
Time to build on the success we had this past season.
We put a much greater emphasis on our dry-land training. We were a stronger, more athletic team than the year before. We also stayed injury-free. Not a coincidence!
We didn't make the pull-up a big part of our program, but I'd like to see us add it for next year. Being able to do pull-ups doesn't happen overnight. This spring and summer, let's work toward being able to add pull-ups to our dry-land routines.
There's a great article on Swimming World that explains & shows a progression for everyone. I say everyone because even an athlete who can do pull-ups may not be performing them correctly.
Read the entire article and watch all the videos before starting on your pull-up progression:

Quote of the Week
Do coaches play favorites? Yes! They favor
players who are accountable, good teammates,
work hard, accept roles, and are coach-able.
